I bet on UFC fights as well as football games.. I don't do it through some stupid forums online, but through several bookies I know. I don't know where you guys are betting, or under what rules, but I can bet no less than 100 on an MMA fight.. or boxing for that matter.

With football I don't bet on the total, by generally go by spreads. Last week I won a couple hundred on a Seattle and Dallas teaser.. teased them both to a pick. Woo! =D

But you always end up losing more than you win.. or just breaking even. Rarely will you come out on top in the long-run.

I wouldnt bet on fight or sports just for the fact that you will win and loose some and either way I doubt you will make any real money off it unless you bet alot of money on it, which isnt good on such a sport as this one. I don't think I would bet money on anything I can't control or have no hand in.

Betting on MMA fights is definitely different from regular sports betting. I've been a professional sports bettor for almost 3 years now, and Im just jumping into MMA.

So far my MMA record has been less than stellar, but I think a lot of the same principles that apply to sports betting will also apply to MMA. I just need a few more events to get a better feel for the oddsmakers, public opinion and the fighters. It's a bit tougher when you don't have many fights to base your opinion on.

If you want some info on MMA betting, I started a blog about it a while back. Feel free to comment and help me out if you'd like.

Wait, you mean we aren't betting real money here?

Jesus, do you realize what this means?

This means that I am no longer going to be able to put together the funds for my all-time, life's dream purchase: {holds back several sniffles}

{basically crying now} It's Hannah Montana's sophmore release, and it comes out around Christmas!! You awful bastards, look what you've done!
