ramslakers1 , did you even read my post?

What I said was unless you know with who, where, when, and how a fighter has fought...his stats really don't mean anything.

If he has fought nothing but small-time easy fights with no real competition for him - then he is just a "paper champion".

Some fighters actually prefer to stay in the minor organizations and be a "big fish in a little pond", some fighters don't want to fight full-time and/or be away from their loved ones constantly, and some managers only send their fighters all over to as many small-time organizations as they can...just to collect easy cash from their percentage of the fighters winnings.

These guys always look real impressive...untill they step up to the big-time organizations and face some real talented, skilled, and dedicated fighters that are more well-rounded trained and prepared.

Call it "octagon shock", "octagon syndrome", or whatever you want...but when they have to face the reality of what it's like to fight at that level, it's a real wake-up call for the poor fighter.

Some leave the UFC forever and stay in the minor small-time organizations, some go to a well-established training academy to improve so that they can return to the UFC, and some just quit MMA fighting completely.

It all depends mostly on the fighter....but also partly on his management too.

And some small-time managers in MMA make Don King look like a saint....lol

So if you look at his record and his bio...you can see he has never seriously been tested at the level of the UFC competition yet...and he is not signed with a well-established MMA training academy, or MMA management either.

Plus according to all of that info... he hasn't done any serious competing or won anything much since 2003.

Dana for some reason decided to take a chance on this guy...but obviously it didn't work out too well for the UFC...or Kristian either.

But like Tito said on the show...some guys are just not able or ready to be a UFC fighter.

BTW...If you watch a tape of the TUF 3 show, when both guys declined to fight in the semi-finals and Dana didn't know what the hell he was going to do, Tito was shaking his head at Dana and smiling...untill Dana and the cameras turned to Tito...and Tito quickly looked down at the table and looked away.

He was probably holding back the urge to laugh like hell at Dana.....or was maybe thinking "Damn...am I ever glad you aren't still my manager or what?"...lol

(I guess Shamrock isn't the only one on that show that looked like an idiot or a jerk....huh?)

I wonder if TUF 4 turns out to be another "reality" drama-fest or if the competition turns out to be another major train wreck...what will happen with the next show's format or will Dana still be Zuffa's "main boy"?

Zuffa and the UFC are commited to doing TUF untill 2008...so I guess we will all just have to wait and see.
