My initial reaction was the same as everyone elses here, however it seems Junk had some reasons for his gassing.

One thing that did happen to Junk before the fight was while in the process of warming up he injured his Achilles' heel bad, which I think limited his movement.
Also, in the fight, if you look closely, Scott's eyelid is inside out. He accidentally caught a finger from Matt. He lost almost all his eye sight after this, which happened in the first minute of the fight. He ended up having a torn retina.

Having an injured Achilles would definitely cause movement problems and I remember thinking Junk got poked in the eye early in the first round. As someone who has had an eye injury (though nothing as serious as a torn retina), there is no way this didn't have a HUGE impact on the fight.
