New Idea for The Ultimate Fighter

i love the ultimate fighter but i dont know if you all agree with me but i'm already getting tired of the same old thing every season. they live all together in the same house in vegas, train, drink and eat.
i think its time to change things around this time. I already gave the idea of TUF brasil vs usa before and i still think it would be an awesome idea. but now i had another which i think would be even more awesome.

Instead of Vegas... why not take a trip to Rio in Brasil... half the guys americans, half the guys brasilians. And have the main coaches live in the house also!
which would work better with either 2 brasilian fighters... example... vitor belfort and anderson silva as the coaches. And they fight for the title when the show is over. Or who ever the ufc things deserves a title at another division or someone famous. Randy Couture or Lesnar maybe.. or machida and randy as the coaches. machida said before that he wanted to be a coach in an interview i read.

the whole idea is to give the show a whole new turn. take the american fighters out of their comfort zone. Out of Vegas. have the coaches live with them(that would be more awesome if the coaches were fighting each other at the end).

the big finale on ppv down there in Brasil too. its been way too long since the ufc was there.. have some big names and big fights.. show it live on spike for free!

have them train at a gym. do their cardio outside of the gym and in the beach, run up the mountains like babalu does..

Not a bad idea. I am just afraid those dumbass drunks would make their way outside and get killed or something. I personally would like to see a clean TUF season. You are there to train and fight. No drinking, no shenanigans etc. or you go home. Too boring for TV though.

why do you assume brasil is all violence? if it was like that we would never hold the world cup in 2014 and the Olympics in 2016...

plus same rule as the one now.. u leave the house without the coaches to train you are out.

I agree with the no booze idea. I think they should be allowed to have books, dvd's and even video games but no alcohol. But that probably wouldn't draw much ratings. I also disagree with the coaches being stuck in the house. That could be pretty ugly if one of the coaches ended up beating up a contestant or something. Plus they aleardy put in their work and shouldn't be stuck in a house with no entertainment for a few weeks.

Here is my only issue with half americans, half brazilians with two brazilian coaches. Language. I dont know how good Vitors english is, but I know Anderson would have a hard time training most american fighters. Not to mention the Brazilians wouldnt stand for any of the shit the americans would try to pull, look how Big Nog reacted during his season. With that being said.

I would love to see the UFC make a monster card for a TUF finale.

1-Free card on TV.( What network could it be on?hehehe)
2- Two TUF Finaly fights.
3- The coaches fight, for a title.
4- Big Annoucment from Dana, similiar to Big Nog being signed.
5- Next TUF being annouced, coaches meet in the cage.
6- Preview to the next UFC game.

Am I asking for too much here?

They could make it more primal....take it to the mountains or the woods....rough it out.

Each fighter gets a tent. But they have cooks cook them whatever they want. They all train, coaches get driven in each day. Each team gets a cage and some tires and hammer and rope, build 2 training facilities like The Pit.

Could be interesting.

Or have real coaches from the major camps have a TUF like tournament. Do 2-3 seasons, then mix up who's team fights who....then it will be real coaching, they have their own facilities, but they have to pick the fighters that TUF shows them after they're up to "UFC's standards"....so they can't bring ringers and so the teams don't have unfair advantages or affiliations with the fighters before they start training in the TUF competition. Just house each team in a hotel (sponsor for the show) closest to the training camp.....or rent a house close by if a hotel won't take you.

Problem with all this is the deal TUF has with the athletic commission in Nevada...I assume they get a deal for the judging and officiating and having security at all the TUF events...with EMT and cops and all that. That might be a pain in the ass to setup and organize in another state with people you don't have any affiliation with.

the whole idea of having the coach in the house is so they can feel out of their element and confort zone too. Maybe have them both share the same bedroom.

they gotta change it up.. its always the same stuff.. i love the show but its aaaaaalways the same stuff...

Why would a coach WANT to stay in the house?? Be realistic, they have absolutely no incentive to do so. At this point, it is hard enough to convince them to even coach the show without having to live in that god-forsaken house.

I think the show needs to be shaken up WAY more than that. Your ideas seem more like aesthetic changes than anything, like having U.S. vs. U.K. In the end it's still just the same show with a different look, and the novelty of the new look wears off pretty quickly. It's not that I think your ideas are BAD, it's just in the end, it still involves a bunch of guys in a house in a tournament style competition.

My understanding is that UFC and Spike signed for a whole bunch of more seasons, so the truth is we will continue to get more shows just like this, with meaningless twists thrown in. We're already at the point where the winner of these shows can barely maintain a UFC career, let alone compete against the elite.

This won't happen since Spike continues to get good ratings on the current format, but I would like to see a Hoop Dreams, documentary style show. Each year, you pick two or three guys that are set to make their octogon debut (imagine they had done this with Shane Carwin and Cain Valasquez when they got signed). They would pick guys that Joe Silva knows have a good chance at becoming mainstays, but who are relatively unknown. Then you just film their lives. You'd have a show about the day-to-day struggles of a fighter. Trying to get better, fighting through injuries, supporting a family, trying to follow their dream.
It would give all the positive benefits the UFC seeks. Mainly, showing that UFC fighters are just regular people, with hopes and dreams just like the rest of us. It would take away all the frathouse style drama and replace it with ACTUAL drama that people go through in life. Secondly, it would create MASSIVE hype around these fighters. Think how excited people would be to see an unknown fighters octogon debut after following them along for the ride. It would create a serious connection between the fighters and the fans, which is something the UFC has never been afraid to promote. Finally, it would bring in new fans. I know for a fact I could imagine myself watching a show like this, if done properly, about any type of athlete. Even those who don't actually convert into PPV buyers would have a better understanding of the sport and more respect for the athletes and the hard work it takes to be a fighter. I know that sounds exactly like what TUF was supposed to do, and it did for a time, but they have lost sight of that.

Anyways, that's just what I think.
