He has been a champion in the past and is training at a top level now to become one again. Just my 2 cents.

My pick was Griffin, which I think is the obvious choice.

As far as overall skills I would agree with Danzig. But I also think he was way too experienced to be on the show in the first place. Nobody else on the show really even stood a chance against him. He was already living up to a lot of his potential, while many of the other fighters went in with a lot less and will continue to learn a lot more. I would say he left the show as the best fighter, but how much better is he really going to get? As for potential I would go with Amir because he has the least experience, though its really hard to tell since they're all in different stages of their careers.

Define what you mean by best...
I still say, and stand by this 100% that P4P the most talented, most skilled TUFer right now is Joe Stevenson
Who is having the most sucess? of course.. Forrest Griffin
but weigh in the fact that there in completely different division.. fighting completely different fighters
Ya Forrest has beaten Shogun and Rampage.. dudes doin' a great job.. Joe Daddy had to fight BJ Penn.. nuff said.
I mean im not denying Forrest is having the most sucess right now.. im stating that he does.. I just am not one to say ahh this guy beat this guy and that guy and leave it at just that.. if you look at the whole picture I just dont see Forrest being a more talented, or better fighter then atleast 3 guys on that list.. but we'll see.. theres still a lot more fights to be had.
Right now though, my opinion stands... Joe Stevenson.

I agree Afro, Joe is a bad ass mother fucker.
I still pick Forrest though, just because of who he has beat.

Right, the question said to base your answer on overall skills and potential, not where they are at now in their careers.
I knew a lot of people would dismiss actual skill and go with Forrest because he beat Shogun, and now Rampage. Not taking anything away from Forrest, I just think there are better overall TUF winners from him when it comes to skills.

Ya if it comes down to skill and potential.. id take atleast 3 guys over Forrest
but like I said if it was based on sucess.. Forrest takes it no questions asked.

I didn't add the "comeback" winners.

I think people can measure Forrests recent success to indicate that he's "best" but I feel Stevenson has more potential to win a belt and keep it for a long time, if BJ moves up in weight. P4p, I'd rank Stevenson above Forrest, even with Forrest's recent wins.
