I would have to say forrest griffin and kenny florian. sure kenny didnt win, but that was a whole weight class above his natural, against someone who is considered the top of that weight class right now, thats pretty impressive.
ALL of the fighters (excluding season 4) past season 1 and 2 have been little babies. its going to be hard to beat the guys 4rm those seasons in the future TUFs. and forrest is just an animal and one of the best interviewers there is. hahahaha

If Rashad works on his jiu jitsu and Mac Danzig improves or goes to LW I think he would be good also. Matt Serra at 155 would be something to check out.

Mac announced he was moving to lightweight about 3 minutes after he got the TUF trophy.

He has already fought and won at 155.

You can't really count TUF 4 because they're vets, hardly up and comers like the rest of the seasons. And Matt Serra's a middle to lower tiered guy. He was before TUF and will be after, he just needs a few more fights before he's gone again.

Best winner, I'd say Rashad because he's still undefeated. I'd like to see Forrest and Rashad fight after the Rampage fight.
Thats exactly why I didn't include the TUF 4 winners. First of all, they were guaranteed a title shot. Second of all, they were all UFC vets and fighters.

I was actually curious to see if anybody would pick Kendall Grove. Not that I think he's THAT bad, but he obviously has a suspect chin, and hasn't done the best in the UFC. He's 4-2, and an overall 9-5. I think outta all of the TUFer's from seasons 1-3, hes the furthest from title contention.

I think Forrest is a good pick, and obviously the favourite because he has a title shot. But to be honest, I didn't pick him because I dont really think he has beaten top competition in the UFC. Obviously im not talkin about Shogun, but besides that, hes beaten Bonnar twice, Ramirez, Elvis (who we all know is a feeder fish) and Bill Mahood. Not exactly great opponents IMO. The decent opponents he has faced, of course besides Shogun, were Tito and Jardine and he lost both. I know the Shogun fight almost justifies everything, but Im not completely sold on Forrest.

I went with Diego, only because he has beaten good competition, with the likes of Riggs, Florian, Nick Diaz, and Karo. He's also 8-2 in the UFC, and he completely dominated the show like no other.

I'd say Diego Sanchez. He seems to be a complete fighter. His standup, his grappling, submissions, intensity, iron chin, stamina, and ability to finish are rare to find in one fighter. Not to mention the fighters he's beaten. I can't wait to see him face Alves or Koscheck down the road.

Forrest, too, has shown great talent for defeating top level fighters. He's got excellent cardio and clearly loves challenges. I'd say he's second on the list, though I can see how he'd be number 1 as well. After all he has accomplished more than many thought possible.

Not sure about third. Either Mac Danzig or Joe Stephenson.

I know we all love Forrest and he's on top of the world right now so its hard to vote against him. But the threadstarter asked that we not only look at their immediate status but their actual talent and potential. And skillwise, Mac Danzig is hands down the best fighter ever on TUF. He has been a champion in the past and is training at a top level now to become one again. Just my 2 cents.
