I've watched a couple episodes from season 7 and the only thing i can think when viewing is that i've seen this all before. they need to throw something new into the mix. every cooky guy i see reminds me of forrest and every crazy drunk bastard is leben. the cocky guys remind me of Rashad. The only season that i really thought have been different were seasons 4 and 6. JMO but i thought those 2 were entertaining.
The UFC needs to make a season that includes guys that were decent in another org and that have a good chance of fighting in the UFC. That might be entertaining just to hear them talk shit about each others orgainizations and how they were better/worse.
EDIT: I actually have completely forgotten about the Hughes/Serra season of TUF. It was that boring to me i guess.

Have any of you guys seen the "Muay Tai Contender" show? I loved it. They do the challenges thing to decide which team picks the next fight, plus they get an award of some type. There were some unique personalities and a little drama, but the fighters have been picked more for their talent. They are a bunch of bad asses with tons of heart. The winner gets a check for $100,000. That's huge for Muay Tai. Some other differences are that they are in the "house" a lot longer and have more time to get in shape and improve; they also are taken out to country clubs, etc to enjoy themselves and relax. One show they surprised all the guys at dinner by having family members show up. It's like they took the best out of a bunch of different reality shows. Really, in comparison, they made the TUF contenders look like a bunch of spoiled douches (not all, of course).

Sounds awesome. You got a link to that? I may not understand it but I'd love to watch a bit of it to catch the vibe.

It doesn't make the show any more interesting because Forrest is to nice of a guy to say anything, but methinks the final bout between 'em might be fireworks!

Yeah, I'll post it up tomorrow if it hasn't been already. It's on TV somewhere, but I didn't recognize the channel. It's in English, but most of the fighters speak with an accent. They are from a variety of countries.

I didn't both reading all the posts so sorry if this has been said. I think alot of the loss of appeal of TUF is that the UFC is saturated with fighters from it. I was surprised when they announced a fourth one let alone. There is still alot of fighters from season one in the UFC; Sanchez, Florian, Bonnar, Griffin, Leben, Koscheck, Quarry are still fighting on a regular basis in the UFC and Alex Karalexis (sp?) in the WEC. Also, whether or not you win the show doesn't matter. Almost everybody got that UFC contract. Which defeats the entire purpose of the show. It's like if, at the end of a chance of at love with Tila Tequilla, they all got to gangbang here. People being from the show used to make me want to see them fight more because you get a glimpse at who they really, find something to connect with them and then root for them. Or just think they're an asshole and watch to see them lose. But now I'm so sick of these guys it makes me not want to watch the fight. The only time the show is entertaining is when they play off how the coaches hate eachother.
