Default Some Thoughts on Episode 3

Joey is a douche.

Now that I've covered that subject onto my thoughts:
* Did anyone else think it was maybe a bad idea to bring wings, fried shrimp, and french fries to guys who are trying to make weight for a fight that could happen at pretty much any time?

* From the looks of the preview, Hughes is going to push his guys too hard because he's pissed that they lost and it's gonna break some of the other guys.

Yea, Joey is a douche... At the same time I can understand going insane from the camera's etc... Yet I think after a week you would be used to it. So is Joey going to be opening his own BJJ school up becasue Matt will no longer have him teaching at theres?

Hughes bringing in all the fried food did seem kind of weird, but I guess it is a good change of pace from sushi. That could just be the farmboy in matt... Mama always probable made the best damn fried chicken!

As per the fight... *possible spoiler below so beware!*

Was that guilitine really in deep? I thought it kind of looked like he could of pulled out, like it sort of looked like he just froze and didnt no what to do. Just my thoughts of course.

I was kind of surprised the sub was so quick. He didn't seem to be making any effort to counter the guillotine.

Yeah I think he got caught and then froze. A guillotine takes a few moments before you are gonna pass out so he had to time to fight it but he panicked.

Blocking a standing guillotine is pretty basic, too. I was like.... Jeez, I could've done better than that!

He looked really really nervous the whole fight. NO confidence at all. Hes only had 3 pro fights, so maybe its not that surprising. I'd say that he just mentally froze.

That's kind of wierd, if you ask me.

I mean, my first fight was in an auditorium in front of a few hundred people, and, while I was nervous the first few moments, the second I got hit, the only thing on my mind was the fight and how to finish the fight without getting my head knocked off. It was like a switch went off in my head. There could have been naked ring-girls on the apron and I wouldn't have even noticed them.

The TUF cage is kind of an "in-house" sort of thing, so you'd think there'd be no pressure at all, even with the cameras present.

No pressure......... with millions of people watching on tv, a 6 figure contract on the line and youve been stuck in a house with no outside connection for the last two weeks?

I think that is a LOT of pressure myself. a bit more than a handful of people in an auditorium. Can't really compare those two me thinks.
