Said basically said it himself. He knew Scarola had lost before the fight even happened.

Scarola is a really good grappler, but from I've been able to tell, he cannot take a punch. I saw one of his other fights on YouTube and as soon as he got punched in the mouth, he ran the rest of the night. What was funny was all you can hear during that match is Serra yelling at him. Just like tonight.

Hughes is going to punk the shit out of serra for the whole season, then royally beat his ass in the ring in december as a christmas present.

The bad part is i still don't think that's enough to shut serra up. He looks like a whiney little girl already and it's only the first fight.

Then he talks his 'friend' up like crazy, then talks shit about him after the fight. Gee, I'd hate to see what he says about the other guys on his team.

One thing's for sure, this is going to be a fun season to watch.

i am annoyed with how serra is acting. he should be more professional. his boy was not ready for this and even serra really didn't have faith in him. what kind of coach is that? should be interesting to see how this plays out but i'd rather be on hughes team. serra is looking more like the dick at this point.

Because Serra likely told the kid he'd get him exposure. It just doesn't make sense to bring someone you know can't win. And from what he said there was never a question of whether he could win the show.

I don't know. I've got a feeling I'm going to like Serra much less after this season. If that's even possible.

What's funny is how he (this is common for serra) has already voiced how he doesn't like hughes because he talks shit etc etc, and he's the only one of the two that's said anything shitty. lol

exactly my thoughts. i liked him before he won the title, but since then he has talked so much shit. i don't get it. he refers to hughes as a dick, etc. be professional, man, what the hell?

being good in training and being good in the cage are 2 different things. maybe he saw something in him and thats why he is here, but obviously hughes saw something else.

There's a huge difference between being a good BJJ fighter and a MMA fighter. The guy could be awesome on the ground, but maybe he's never been punched in the face before.

I'm losing a tonne of respect for Serra and gasp, I'm actually like Hughes.

Yeah, which is hypocritical of Serra because he accused Hughes of doing exactly what he did to Joey.

Rep'd. Serra is the biggest hypocrit on the planet. I don't care what he does the rest of his career, I will never cheer for him.... It also doesn't hurt that Hughes is one of my favorite fighters of all time.
