Wowza, I run Firefox with Ad block plus as well as No Script and my Avast still picked it up.

It said:

Network Shield: blocked access to malicious site vestelia.com/qqp/ [ C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe ( 3604 ) ]

Now why in the hell would vestelia.com be running shit on MMANEWS.COM

Luckily it didn't fuck up my shit, but It will fuck your shit up if you don't have the right protections in place.

Personally, If I were Admin/Mod of this place, I think the VERY LEAST you could do is to start a thread in the General MMA section and let everyone know of what's going on, so that they can protect themselves.

I use no antivirus, no anti spyware, and have no firewall, no special scripts and run IE. DOn't have ne problems at all. This is fact. I've never picked up any virus from any site. It's what YOU click that causes a problem on your pc. If you know what u are doing online you will never have a problem. Happy clicking can be your worst enemy.

In terms of suggestions. There are some great free pograms out there such as AVG 8, Superantispyware and Spybot.

Ill also suggest that clicking adds will never really help you out because it installs cookies on your system tht can be a bitch to remove.

If you do happen to suspect spyware or viruses run your scans in SAFE MODE. THe reason for this is that most spyware and viruses can just re create themselves when you remove in windows because of the processes running in the background. Within safemode the only processes running are yo ur basic windows ones. To action safe mode, tap F8 when PC turns on and continue to tap until you reach the Advanced Boot Menu.

Either way, it's not good that, that shit is popping up on peoples computer when they visit the main page.

It can't be good for business and Ad space.

Hope it works its self out or someone takes care of it.

The fact that some people are having problems and others aren't points to an exploit or flaw in one of the ad networks that supply the site. Something similar happened at Sherdog recently. To reiterate, Firefox + the ABP plugin is recommended in general to prevent any rogue ads from acting up.
