People abuse their rep power. Instead of actually repping intelligent, insightful, or on-topic posts, people just rep when someone makes them laugh or negs them when they disagree or don't like the point they have made. Take a look at my history. Clint negged me twice in the same post.

You can delete this post or whatever, edit my profile, neg me, do whatever... but you asked. It's the same tripe as it was before, and as the intelligent fans leave you, the assholes will just say you're doing a great job.

lol cry me a fucking river. Plenty of people ask questions and disagree with us without getting flamed but you have to be respectful. This is not some ideal utopia, if you ask dumb questions you are going to catch some shit for them, that is how life works. You got negged for making posts that had no point but to cause problems (we should be defending every troll who thinks it's okay to have full contact "mma" fights in his back yard) and to make yourself a self made martyr as you left to advertise for the forum you went to.

Don't worry about it. Hell advertising another site doesn't bother me at all as long as it's not done like spam or with fake links (lol those really piss me off). It's not like me or any of the other admin/mods make any money off this place

I just get irritated with the people who complain about how terrible the forums are and how everyone should go elsewhere, yet they post in every complain thread (meaning they still come here even though it is supposedly so awful)

yeah, all omnipoutastorm ever did was post emo bullshit on threads, whining like a little girl everytime someone disagreed with him, and it was really minor disagreements. I loved watching him get flamed, it was great. I hardly ever see anyone on these boards get flamed for anything for more than just being a retard with their discussions and debates.

Originally I kind of stopped posting because of some the older vets did have this Elitest attitude towards everyone, but it could just be from a noobs standpoint.

I didn't know much about MMA, and (I'm not picking on you dude) just as an example, this was during a time...I cant remember what fight was happening that had everyone riled up but Palma had posted in a number of threads and basically slammed any and all opinions regarding it. In all honesty coming from a type of noob towards a sport the last thing I had wanted is to say why I think so and so will win a fight and have 3 pages of stats and circular arguements thrown at me knowing I couldn't really say anything because since I have less than X rep I'm wrong.

Personally it's a great way to get rid of uneducated, ignorant casual fans, but I think it could attribute to why vets are leaving now too. I dont knwo what it was like back then, but maybe its just grown stale knowing that once someone says something so trivial like..."Fighter X will win..I just have a feeling.--- "No he won't he lost to Fight Y AND Fighter Z who fighter R beat blah blah.." It leads to unnessicary spam.

Another GREAT example of this is any arguement that has GSP in it, or Fedor/Randy. Its unenjoyable reading a post regarding UFC 83, or The UFC/Couture/Fedor saga because you know you've read it 3124514 times before. And with what seems like every second thread regarding something to do with that, it's like you're trying to weed out the good threads but you can't seem to find them in all the horseshit threads surounding them.

But honestly now that I can say I'm somewhat educated when it comes to MMA, this place is fucking A-1, hell even after having nightmares about getting flamed by him, I enjoy reading Palmas and some of the other guys I generally disagreed with/ was scared of posts.

I'll definietly be sticking around, but with so much traffic and so much redundancy I can see why older posters would be inclined to leave.
