Mail Box Alerts

Is there a way that we can set an alert message to let us know when we have 1 or 2 messages left before our mailboxes are full? Or even just use up the last available spot to let us know it is full? My cell phone does it. If there was a way, that would be really good.

A lot of members end up filling up their boxes and forget to empty it. I have done it once myself.

I don't think so. But Noob or Clint would know better.

Maybe we could do somthing that you inbox size goes up with your time and rep here.

Maybe start off with a maximum of 10 PM's in your box and work your way up, and have the long time member that are in good standing have a max of 100 or so. Seems that would help a little. And wouldn't cause the server to work harder than it is working now, because new people would have less PM space to make up for the extra that the long time members would use.

I think we need to stop taking things away from new members lol, we have to be one of the toughest on new members, damn lol.

Maybe something like 5 more message spots for every 600 rep.. that would be helpful.

yeah it would be a good idea to have something like this.mine is about 4 messages or so away from being full

I usually delete everything once I hit around 40 PMs so its not a big probleml for me.

You can have announcements that your box is full, but in our current system there would be no way to alert you that your inbox is almost full.


There are a lot of little things like that, that might be possible if we had access to updating the vbulletin system on the site. But we don't, so we can't.
