If i kill deers its a sport but if i kill humans its a crime? Hunting isnt a sport Dogfighting isnt a sport and Horse racing isnt a sport. All are cruel to animals. Close thread.

all totally different. people who dog fight deserve a lot of jail time. hunting isnt always for food but is a lot of the time. i hate bs poachers. but what is more crueal then killing an animal in the wild that had a free live is the horrilbe life that chickens, pigs, cows ect that are used for food is way way worse. some of the food farms they can barly even move cause it is so crowded and live a horrile boring live with no fun, just to be slaughtored for food eventually.

I do think this is a little more complicated issue than it seems. When a guy like Marbury, Dieon Sanders, or Chris Samuels make their remarks about dogfighting, I think they are just not informed. They probably come from a culture where it is acceptable and they may not be aware of the public perception of dogfighting and how awful it is. Also when the shit started to hit the fan Vick didn't seem worried at all, like he didn't think he did anything wrong. What I'm saying is that I believe that we need to raise the level of awareness in our society. I have never heard of anybody else famous, or not getting in trouble for animal fighting. There is a place about 75 miles from me where dog/chicken fighting is a known thing - yet nobody seems to care. Anybody who does this shit should be punished, I just hate to see people go to jail or ruin their lives over something they honestly don't know is wrong. The obvious question is "how do they not know killing/drowning dogs is wrong", I don't know the answer to that, but we do need to raise awareness, and make sure people know how awful it is. I think that is the first step to stopping this stuff because it is barbaric.

killing an animal for food i think is ok. But people go out and hunt for fun. How is it fun to kill another animal?
