Also it will help more for your in fight cardio.

Still run for distance some but start building the sprints in there as you can. Naturally you can't do them every day because your legs just won't be up to it but twice a week would be a good start.
I'm interested in the study/article you have because that is news to me. I'm in the midst of trying to burn off a lot of fat so I'll be able to pass a piss test for a job coming up in the next few weeks and want to make sure I do everything I can to prepare (I don't want to do anything illegal this time.)

Here is the study:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/q...=pubmed_docsum

It's complex as hell though. But here is the conclusion - Study was on women but it applies equally to men:
In summary, seven sessions of HIIT over two weeks induced marked increases in whole body and skeletal muscle capacity for fatty acid oxidation during exercise in moderately active women.

Here is a more readable explanation:

Your main concern is page 3, the first new paragraph.

Angry Help Needed

I am trying to get into the mma and i need alot of help. I have a little boxing experience but nothing else. I even have a good fight coming up. But I am over wait. I am 175 and the only way for them to agree to fight is if I drop to 150 by june. I have tried alot of things, but nothing is working. I run 2 miles every day. I do upside down crunches. I have lowered my food to three small meals a day and i box all the time. I need some help if anybody could do so. I think I am doing something wrong because it aint working.

Honestly dude, you are not going to drop 25lbs in 2 months, especially if you are already somewhat lean. I would advise that your meals consist largely of lean meats (especially chicken breasts) and green veggies (spinach, broccoli, lettuce, celery, asparagus). Both of these are very good in terms of it takes nearly all of the calories in the food to digest and absorb the food (once things like thermogenic effect are factored in)

Have you ever cut water weight before? Even with the dieting you will probably only lose around 10lbs. From there it will have to be water. If you don't know someone pretty experienced with weight cutting or have cut weight yourself I would honestly not cut 15lbs of water before your first fight.

How do you have an MMA fight coming up if you've only had a little boxing experience?
