Default Good Deal?

I am thinking of getting this for my garage, it looks like a really good deal. It is originally $399 but they have it marked down to $349 in my local Sam's store. I got a punching bag/Combo ( Great deal on Punching Bag Combo at Sam's Club!!!! ) with Heavy bag, speed bag, and a double ended bag, about 3 months ago for $200 and it has worked out great.

Any suggestions?

I am building a gym in my Garage, and would like to have an area for wrestling,BJJ,ect.ect.ect. What type of mats would be best for this? they have the mats at Sam's that snap together like puzzle pieces, but i don't know how well they would work, any ideas on a cheap way to pad the concrete floor would be great.

I'm personally against smith machines since they limit your range of motion (especially for things like squats). So I prefer a simple power rack, but in terms of that specific peice of equipment it looks like a solid deal.

For the mats alot of people use those puzzle mats. Your other good choice would be to see if you can get some used wrestling mats from a school or somewhere.

I would get the used Wrestling mat the puzzle maps arn't my cup of tea Plus you can spar on the wrestling mat. Smith machines keep you from injury because you can do heavier weight without a spotter. But yes it does limit range.

With a power rack you don't need a spotter either since you have saftey bars.

Well i guess in my case it would be good, i work out alone and don't have anyone to spot me. When you say they limit your motion, you mean that you can squat low enough or what?

The problem is that when you squat, the weight doesn't move straight up and down, it moves in more of an arch. But with the guides, you have to move straight up and down.

From the looks of the machine, you might still be able to do free weight squats with the pins on the front or the locks for the smith machine part. It's hard to see in the picture.
