Help Please!!
I'm in OK shape, I'm 21, 5'9, about 180 lbs but I eat alot, I currently run 2 miles 3 times a week in about 18 minutes. I Kick Box near daily, roll and spar maybe once a week with a few Friends in my Garage. Although i Run 3 Times a week, my run never seems to get any easier. I can right now run about 2 and a half miles with out stoping . My fastest time in running a mile has been 7 and a half Min's. but closer to 8 now.
I (MY Wife made it for me.) have made a New Years Resolution for myself. I have decided that i would like to able to run 7 miles. I want to be able to do it in under an hour.
Now the Kicker, I am a daily consumer of (Tetrahydrocannabinol) THC. I have Promised my Wife that in the New Year, i solemnly swear not to consumer any manner of THC until i can run 7 miles in under an hour. Since i know this is going to take a while i am going to go ahead and cut back on the THC now, and start to focus on my running.
So, you see the urgency of my dilemma? Please help me, any help will be much appreciated.!!!!
What kind of routine should i do?
How long will it take?
Should i run Sprints?
Should i try to Run as far as i can every time i run?
Should i set new goals, as to how far I want to run on a certain date? i.e. 4 miles by Feb. 18Th?
And Yes, i will Smoke a Fatty right after Make the 7 miles in under an hour.
