Default The Great Khali

For those of you who don't know who The Great Khali is, here you go:

He's a WWE guy. I don't know if he has any MMA background at all, but since he is 7 foot 2 inches and weights like 380lbs, I wonder how far in the UFC he'd get on his massive size alone. Of course they'd have to make a new weight class, because that guy isn't going to get down to anywhere near 265.

He would be the UFC version of Giant Silva.
I have seen him many times in WWE and a snail moves faster than him.
As far as I know he doesnt have a MMA background, but he worked as a police oficer in India.

I just took a look at the Heath Herring vs Giant Silva fight. So that's how you beat a gargantuan like that, with leg kicks. I do think Silva would have done a little better had he added Brock Lesnar's aggressiveness to his size. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think a guy that fucking huge should just charge in and technique be damned. For most of that fight Silva was pretty passive.

That was the only good fight that Giant Silva had, in all others he sucked. Ogawa, Minowaman and James Thompson completely raped him. There were other 2 guys that also defeated him in few minutes.

He has 2 wins, and both against Sumo guys.....

giant silva is horrible... but he beat makebono o.O

as far as i know, the great khali actually has a great deal of trouble just moving because of knee trouble, and he's nowhere near as mobile as other large wrestlers like the undertaker or even the big show.

Great Khali killed a guy a few years back by accident in training. He skyhigh/flapjacked a guy who was training and the kid landed from such a high drop that it proved fatal. Poor wrestler, massive chin and would probably be a horrid fighter.

Not that it matters because this thread started out uselessly....but, here's the story from Wiki:

Quote:
Brian Ong incident
On May 28, 2001, Brian Ong died after receiving a flapjack from Singh.[1] Ong had suffered a previous concussion during the session, but the trainers gave him a lower evaluation for not avoiding injuries and told him to continue training. In addition, it was proven that Ong did not receive protective gear or supervision by All Pro Wrestling (APW) staff. This second concussion ultimately proved fatal for him. As Singh inadvertently caused his death, Ong's family brought a lawsuit against APW.[1] They were found liable for recklessness after less than a day of deliberations, awarding the Ong family for damages of over $1.3 million.[1]

Damn, I didnt know that he killed a guy.

However in MMA I dont think he would give too much trouble to any serious fighter.

Khali has that gigantism (sp) problem, so he's very slow and has bad joints because his body is overgrown or something. My neighbors are WWE fanatics and knows the background to him. They told me that he's has a hard enough time even doing the WWE stuff because his knees are so shot, so I doubt he would be able to train MMA.
