I never was on the bandwagon but i did think Okami deserved it. I am only supporting him in the fact that he was next in line. This performance certainly makes him look weak, The guys strength should be wrestling but he looked like an amateur against Sonnen. No striking...no ground. No support here anymore. I understand he had a shot. He should get one BUT this fight shows he has degressed in skills. can't be justified now. It would be different if he lost but showed up for the fight. (like Karo against Diego) okami showed No intensity whatsoever.
I feel this is different than karo not getting a shot at Hughes way back when.. Kara was in an amazing fight against Diego. and anybody can get knocked out by silva.
karo should have got his shot.
Okami...tough call... but I have to say No...UNLESS his next victory or two are dramatic performances...not gonna happen though. Okami to me is overrated.
