Should MMA retire nick names??
I was just woundering how some other sports retire Jerseys or numbers in honer of great players, should mma do the same to the mma greats.
If so, Anderson "the spider" Silva and the "Iceman" come to mind....

Who is mma. Maybe the UFC could but its going to be real hard to get nobody to call themselves the Iceman. There has been many Icemans before Liddell and many Icemans after.

He needs to change it to Zoolander I mean Rich isn't afraid to be called Ace.
BTW Keith Jardine should change his to Techno Viking because everyone calles him it anyway. One does not pick your nick it picks you!!

no i dont think they should retire them, they really couldnt .because there is more than one person that use the same nick name. basketball, baseball football it works there because its just tied to one team not the whole org and all the teams, and also most of the time the number is decided for you,you dont pick it.nicknames, you decide unless you get labeled with one.they would be hard enough to pick out without some of them being gone and not being able to use them.
