Rampages Belts
I know this isn't huge news or anything so i figured i would put this in Noob Jack City. Did anyone else see that Rampage has finally got his Pride belt that he won in the unification match with Hendo. It was good to see that he finally got it.

It's not a real PRIDE belt.
PRIDE belts are earned in a ring, not a cage; and under PRIDE--not UFC--rules.
I like Rampage, but that's just fucking bullshit, and he of all people should fucking know better.
To me, it's like guys that buy new motorcycles and bolt stupid bro-mosexual shit on them to make them look old... it's empty, sad and lame.

Actually, I'm not...not at all. PRIDE was pretty much done, and I still get to see great fighters in great fights.
But you have to admit that it's stupid to give away a belt that is decided by different rules, don't you? Would you want the Superbowl decided by rugby rules? Or the Stanley Cup to be given to a very good field hockey team?
Or would you want the awards to just die out with dignity if the organizations collapsed?
Buying PRIDE is one thing, plundering it's corpse with empty revisionist bullshit is another. When Henderson initially signed to fight Jackson, he was told the PRIDE belts weren't on the line, because they were fighting in a cage, under UFC rules. That later changed when it was too late to do anything about it.
Do you really think Jackson earned a PRIDE belt?

Yes rampage earned the belt in the UFC, but it was a unification match to unify the titles. The fight wasn't just for the pride belt it was to take 2 champions and see who came out on top. Yes dan is still the pride MW champ under pride rules but under the unified belts rampage was the champ.
