Default Pride ShockWave 2005

So I bought the Pride ShockWave 2005 cause I had never seen the Silva vs Arona 2. I had never seen that fight but was very shocked that Arona didnt win the decision. Arona for the most part dominated the fight and controlled Silva on the ground.

Anyone else think that Arona should have got the decision??

Nope, I agree with it, Arona pretty much only got takedowns. In their first fight Arona clearly won but in this fight he got outstruck and didn't even pass gaurd. In PRIDE they judge the fight mostly off of effort to finish the fight and Arona showed none, Wandy pushed the pace when they were standing and went for some subs from his back. I wish the judges for that fight were the ones for the Penn/St. Pierre fight............

Arona has been in some bad decisions in his career though, on both ends of them too.

I never really agreed with the Pride scoring system. I do think that Wandy got a few decisions given to him while fighting in Pride.

I would love to see Arona in the UFC. He is a great fighter and the UFC rules would favor him alot more then the Pride Rules did.

i agree wand was more active and was actually trying to finish the fight. It was a close decision but i think wand took it and deserved that decision based on pride scoring rules.
