I remember watching the very first UFC with my pops and his friends, but i was only 5 or 6 years old...the fight that made me a die hard fan of MMA was frank shamrock/tito ortiz at ufc 22. I was in 7th grade i believe, so i was 12-13 yrs old then. Awesome fight and from then on I was a diehard fan.

The first fight that sticks out to me is when Gary Goodridge got someone in the crucifix position and layed a bunch of fat elbows to the head. I started following MMA heavily after my first drunken PPV (UFC 59 where Tito beat Forrest)

Worked at a video store and rented UFC 45 after reading a Bill Simmons column on the UFC. Rented 43 and 44 after that, and have watched every PPV since. A guy who I talked to at the store gave me a copy of the Pride event that had Rampage/Wandy II around that time too. Such a great fight.

Probably the first one I ever saw that made me really look at it as a sport and not some dumbass toughman in a cage was Frank Shamrock vs. Enson Inoue.

Has to be Ortiz vs Liddell at UFC 47 for me. I was always a fan of WWE and a guy I spoke to on the forum told me to watch some UFC. So I went to the shops, and picked out UFC 47 on DVD, bought it and havent looked back since!

Had to be when I went to a bar and watched

Well too be honest my friends that were Shoot fighters got me into it. A lot of the guys I grew up with got into shoot fighting so I got into it too. I think my first UFC fight that I saw was a Mark Kerr one an Old friend Steve Judson (UFC's Greatest Knockout fame) was friends with him and trained with him. I got together with my Buddy Micheal Buell (was international Shoot Fighting Champ LW at the time) and started training and fighting little fights here and there. Trigg and Sherk were around back then at some of thoes orgs. Different rules with different orgs. I stopped because of an arm injury. Watched it regularly after that because at least I can still enjoy the sport that way but I have to say its just not as fun to watch as it is to do.
