Try not to bitch about the neg rep I gave you, it was simply for triple posting, if you are too lazy to press the "edit" button on a previous post of yours then you can go to hell. Anti-Fedor threads are getting old around here, and in yours you really didn't bring anything new to the table. The arguments of "Fedor needs to fight at LEAST as much as Roger Huerta to be #1 heavyweight in the world" or "Fedor hasn't beaten anyone worthy of making him #1, even though he has fought the #2 guy three times and has dominated him every second." are great and all but honestly, if you look at it without bias it is clear that Fedor is #1 by a wide margin.


Who could be #1 in his place? Nog is clearly the next best heavyweight in the world and Fedor beat him twice, Randy hasn't fought since Gonzaga (who was recently finished in his last fight), Tim is 1-2 in his last 3 fights, AA has losses to Tim and Werdum has losses to AA. NO decent arguments can be made to suggest ranking any of those guys ahead of Fedor.


Just for kicks I would love to see Tim fight Hong Man Choi, because Tim would be KTFO.

You do realize how many fighters turned down fights with Fedor? By the way Barnett was offered a fight with Fedor on two seperate occasions and turned them both down becuase he knew he didn't have enough to time to get ready for the best fighter in the world, and that if he were to fight him coming in at anything better then his best shape it would be a waste of his time.

Not at all trying to bash Gurry here,but I laughed pretty hard at this. I'm also not trying to side with Joesons BruisedNuts despite him having the best username on the board.

I think Fedor is an incredible fighter,has he avoided competition lately? Yes. But if you were offered millions to fight guys with 1/20 the skill levels you have then Im sure youd do it too. Regardless of what cans he smashes today it still doesnt take away from what Fedor did in the past.

I dont think he's currently p4p the best in the world (Anderson Silva holds that title IMO) but he's close,and if he beats Sylvia he'll be back on top of the p4p food chain.

And when you factor in the point that PRIDE literally folded around him, and there wasn't much opportunity to fight other than the UFC, you have a 16-month layoff since he's fought a top 10 fighter.

Or you can get your panties in a bunch because he refuses to sign the most restrictive contract in the industry. But don't pretend valid points can't be argued on both sides.
