As ive said before.. If the UFC were in the buisness of fixing fights, they would have made sure Mirko Cro Cop dominated and not lost to Gonzaga and Kongo. And why would the waste time fixing a fight between Hardonk and Pendergrast? doesnt make any sense to me.. No they arent fixed..

Cool, even I didn't know that

I dont think that UFC management would ever try to fix a fight, bad decisions is just bad judging. Judges are human after all.
Sometimes though, I get the idea that fighters took dives. But who can tell really? Maybe they had an off day or camp in with a stupid ass game plan.

UFC fixing fights - NO
Judges influenced - possible
Fighters taking dives because they want out of a fight - im sure it happens
Fighters taking dives for other reasons (like betting on fights or something of the like) - wouldnt surprise me
but I think its a small small part of MMA

lol ah huh? well? then wouldn't i just post random things in random threads why go thru all the trouble to make my own thread? seriously... i don't need to draw attention to myself by all means
And i mean why can everyone else make stupid threads like "whats your favorite fighter" "who do you think is over rated" " i'm looking for a bjj school to train at" those are stupid threads yet still posted... ALL i'm saying is.. if you think anything i have to say or write or whatever is pointless... then why dont you click on another thread? and read it? It was just a topic to discuss the thing about this forum is there are so many meat heads that sit in their room and watching ufc dvd's and think they can be a fighter.. like.. i dont see why someone has to be put down because they posted something to talk about? its a forum... this is what forums are.. to talk about whatever... with whoever.. who are you to say whats pointless and what not?

i agree... i'm actually shocked they dont have that in place yet? considering how main stream its become eh!?

just try to make the topic clear in your title, LadyJag (and use the edit button instead of triple posting, there's a feature to do Multi quotes as well)
I for one, don't think fights are fixed, everything can always be explained w/o saying "he threw the fight"
styles make fights, so sometimes certain fighters have problems with a particular style OR a fighter just has a guy's number (Hughes vs Hallman)
also with the popularity of MMA its given fighters an opportunity to fight as a full-time job so (for the most-part) they are fighting guys who have more time to train, a more well-rounded skill-set and good cardio, bottom line is they are getting to a point where everyone is good and their skills/style cancel each other out

Listen. As a fan of fight sports, you have a long hard road against you. I don't know how long you've been into MMA, but if you're a boxing fan you would be used to bullshit decisions. It's a part of the sport. Every so often you get judges that are retards, what you gonna do?

well its funny i've talked to hard core fans/fighters and they say they are use to the decisions but in the same sense they wouldn't be surprised if it went a certain way for whatever reasons either...
the point to this is.. it makes it interesting to really look at a fight and think "man... what if" i never said i thought it was fixed, or implied it was.. i just wanted to put some food for thought out there.. i think its funny the hate response hahaha! man some of you men are like pmsing women! hahah!
