Rich probably got the biggest day in the sun he'll get, he's a C level fighter fighting another C level fighter on a big PPV, and he acted like a slightly-more-justified-asshole than Melvin, who was just a more complete-and-utter-asshole.

Neither have a place in a legitimate MMA organization.

They both came off as jackasses but what do you expect? The UFC wanted that to happen and that is why they made the fight, something I personally never would have done. Ive always disliked Melvin and I knew that when he faced a legit opponent he would be sub'd, I never had anything against Rich and I thought he was very underrated but he looked like a tool last night. It was an exciting fight but it looked horrible for the sport to see that happen on the main card, so fuck Joe Silva and the UFC marketing for thinking that bad blood is the only way to sell a fight.

Melvin has always been a punk and i thought it was funny as hell. Especially after the fight Melvin was like "SAY SOMETHING!".......after Rich had constantly been trash talking him and had just beat his ass lol

People act like this was a long time coming. If you can remember melvin refused to touch gloves with joe daddy before getting trapped in a guillotine and forced to tap accordingly in the first few seconds of the first round. I didn't see Joe stevenson getting up after making melvin tap and doing a crotch chop. Instead he showed some class. That's what good fighters do. More reason as to why you see joe daddy headlining an upcoming PPV and rich clementi getting "no love" at the bottom of the division.

I don't condone what either one did but I'm not going to pretend I didn't enjoy what Rich said or did...

Remember it was Melvin who started running his mouth again really for no reason, Joe had enough sense and class to not let it bother him, but obviously Joe and Rich are not the same person and Rich took offense...

But I'm sorry...

"Go learn JuJitsu Melvin" had me laughing for 10 minutes... I can't say it looked good for the sport, but it was good, for me, to see someone put Melvin in his place verbally and physically...

Nothing good comes of exchanges like these, ultimately you're suppose to be a professional regardless of how the other guy is acting...

easier said than done though... hell Melvin gets under my skin and I'll never meet the guy...

Yes, there were personal beefs and I think Melvin is a jerk but we want the sport to have a better image and having these 2 guys go a little overboard just slows the process. The crotch chop and continued shittalking was a little much too from Clementi. Melvin is def the worse of the two, especially with his sorted record.
