Aren't you now, truly glad Fedor took the easy way out and signed with M1? Seriously, all joking aside. Doesn't it make you feel better that you still have the "Fedor would beat any UFC heavyweight?" theory going in your head? I mean, think about it... First you would have had Cro-Cop loosing to a couple of "no bodies" And lets face it Pride fans, Cro-Cop was "the best HW in all mma next to Fedor. I mean he would kill any UFC HW, LHK cemetery right? OK, not a big Cro-Cop fan? How 'bout Shogun, he can't lose against UFC's "weak" LHW division, he's the best LHW in the world!! Oops, wait a second a TUFFER beat his ass... (I know Shogun was hurt, Forest could never beat a healthy Shogun) Well at least you have Sokoduja (sp, who cares really?) He's a Pride up and comer, wait, so sorry! Never worry little Pride nut- hugger!!! THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL, THAT CHUCK CAN BEAT THE AX MURDERER!! He's to intense, knees from hell! Fists of Fury, oh shit wait a second, he just got his ass whooped too...

BUT JUST REMEMBER PRIDE NUT-SWINGERS! FEDOR WOULD NEVER LOSE TO SYLVIA, AA, OR COUTURE! BECAUSE PRIDE>>>> UFC!! LMAO!!

(Dont forget about gomi tapping to diaz, but that must have been due to diaz's smokeing)

Lol @ Sokoduja.

You should see the thrashing the PNH's are taking over at MMA.tv. A few of them were so sure Silva was gonna smash Chuck they bet being banned and never posting again if Silva didn't KO him in the first. You can imagine the field day their having with these poor souls.

rofl. im a big pride fan but just wanted to sit back and watch when they came to the ufc, there were a lot of trash talking pride fans and they would always say how the ufc sucked. they put it on themselves.

I liked Pride also. But I think I would have enjoyed it more if it weren't for some of the nuthuggers on the boards. I actually like Soko more than Machida, but I was neutral about who I wanted to win. I would have been happy for Sok if he had won, but it was also worth it for Machida to win just to watch the more rabid trolls get demolished.

soko vs. machida was a very hard fight to pick, but machida continues to impress. soko was extremely impressive with the ko's of lil nog and arona but ryoto just beating him like that and makeing it look easy. he has beaten good competition and always seems to be undercontrol of the fight. he has a great striking and ground game and could def contend with liddell, page, wand, ect.

poor poor pride people. Only one person has done well so far and that's Rampage. People may say Nog is still there, but he looked terrible against Herring and shouldn't be fighting for the title in my opinion.

Some of those crazy assholes actually had me wondering if PRIDE had the premier fighters after all. They were so sure that they would bet their life on it.

My theory is that part of the reason PRIDE appeared to be so much better is because of the rules and the ora that PRIDE has as, basically being Vale Tudo with tiny gloves (with a few exceptions). Shit yeah it was fun to watch some of the bigger stars beat up on small Japanese guys, but comparing PRIDE to UFC was like comparing apples to oranges. The fights were admittedly more exciting on average than UFC, at least in PRIDE's last half (5 yrs).

Now that the majority of PRIDE fighters are coming into the UFC and stinking up the joint, you know that unfamiliarity with the cage and the UFC in general has SOMETHING to do with it. But that cannot be everything. PRIDE fighters are generally overrated. Put that back in a ring with less rules (except the elbows) and judge the fights on finishing the fight and not a point system like boxing, give yellow cards, they would be beating the fuck out of eachother.

R.I.P. PRIDE and it's rules. US sanctioning bodies will never allow what we really want to see.

I wouldn't consider Anderson Silva a Pride guy.. he only fought in Pride 5 times over 3 years, and was also competing in Cage Rage... So he is used to the cage. Other than that... I agree with you.
