I am getting mixed messages

Ok I was under the understanding that the moderators of this forum were pretty strict about posts that were overly offensive or not appropriate but, I have seen threads that fall under those categories that seem to stand. For example the demotivational thread in the off topic section has one that is racially insensitive. I find the way they use the word "******" more inappropriate than someone saying, " John Doe is a cocksucker." I am a noob and wanted to know what is up. Thanks

i cant say i understand what threads your talking about?what section are the threads posted in your talking about?

i havent seen anything bad in threads here at all

There are too many threads for the mods to read all of them, so if you see something offensive send us a PM with a link to the post and we can deal with it. Otherwise we can only really moderate what we see.

My best advice to you is stay out of the political ones, there no fun, everyone in there gets there panties in a bunch over everything

sorry but i love to give a good visual. If it is something that is offensive report it, the MODS are fair and just in here they will take care of it. But it could also have to do with what conversation your going into, if you go into one that is about races and ethniticities then you have to expect that, myself I just stay out of them and do not bother reading them, I get to worked up over political stuff, and let my emotions get the best of me in those conversations, I know where your coming from though.

I don't think any of the mods really go into the political section very often. It's kind of understood that there is more leeway in there than in the other sections.


Other than that, like Clint said we moderate what we see. We don't see everything, so if we miss something feel free to send one of us a PM or make a thread in the Site Suggestions forum.


I know that almost no one looks at the Site Suggestions forum, but almost all of the mods do on a regular basis. I take concerns that are posted there more serious than I do random babbling in a thread about Kimbo Slice or something.
