Rich Franklin vs Matt Lindland
I think this would be a great fight and it would draw huge numbers. I'd love to see if Franklin could stop Lindlands takedowns and if he could defend some gnp. However I dont think Lindland has a good chin and if Franklin hits it like he did with Quarry shows over for Lindland.
I''ll go with franklin by tko

I'm going to have to go with Franklin on this. Thats a shocker right lol. I pick Franklin because he is good standing and on the ground. Matt is a great great wrestler, that being said Franklin could stop the take downs for a matter of time but wont be able to stop them for long. But i do not think Matt could finish Rich on the ground but i do think Rich could rock Matt standing and finish him that way. I will say it would be a good fight but Rich wins, Matt is a wrestler he doesnt have good stand up or great subs or anything like that, he just has such good wrestling he gets good positions but i think Rich could hold on to him long enough on the ground to get it stood back up.

Im going with Lindland, I think he has a well rounded game.. he isnt great at anything but wrestling, but he doesnt suck in any area either, Franklin is good but I dont see what stops Lindland from taking him down and staying on top of Franklin.

lindland knows how to land some power on Ace's chin. and while Ace is bigger and technically more well rounded with better striking, Lindland would control where the fight goes, and thats crucial
lindland by decision

Franklin has pretty good Takedown D so I think he would be able to keep the fight on their fight for enough time to do some damage. Also Franklin has some pretty good subs, so it would not be that hard to imagine Franklin subbing. Also, I would not be surprised to see Franklin takedown Lindland, its not like he couldnt. I just think Franklin has a lot more ways to win this fight then Lindland does.
Franklin by KO in the 3rd.

Lindland. He is deceptively strong and is a real smart fighter. The level of competition he has fought and training partners he has worked with are on a different level compared to Rich's. Rich does have the speed but I just don't see it happening with Riches suspect jaw with the stand up and his ground game not being up to par with Lindlands. Lindland would win 7 out of 10 Fun to see though.

Rich's Stand up is better then Lindlands, Lindland has ok stand up ok subs he is just a great wrestler with good gnp, Rich has good stand up good take down d and good ground game. I have to agree with Mass, Franklin has more ways to end this fight.

Rich by 2nd round KO I think he can stop the takedown enough to catch Lindland. I also wouldnt be suprised to see rich catch an arm from the bottom I think he has one of the most underrated ground games in the UFC right up there with Anderson

I'm gonna go with rich because of his underrated ground game..i'm glad you pointed that out..sure, rich could ko or tko lindland, but lindland WILL be able to talk franklin down; however, franklin would most likely eventually defend the take down and catch lindland..in a 5 round fight i definitely say franklin, but 3 rounds i'd go with franklin but wouldnt be suprised if lindland pulled it out via lnp.....although it wouldnt suprise me of rich pulled out a submission from his back

I think Richs takedown D is irrelevant, it definently isnt good enough to fend off Lindland.. his wrestling is way too good
