Alot of people hate Melvin becasue he seems like a thug and punk. But common now he got some crasy ass skills up top. Very explosive. If this fight stays up top Melvin wins with a KO. I like Roger alot but his last fight was a street fight. He gased and through wild punches..He's overrated.

Stevenson is a beast. What are you talking about...So your saying Roger is a better fighter than Stevenson then. No way. Standing roger is better but stevenson would ground and pound Roger anyday.

this was posted on their site about the huerta Guillard fight
Quote:
This fight had the crowd buzzing as both men had put on great performances in the first two rounds. Huerta had dominated with takedowns and groundwork while Guillard had won with his superior striking power and aggressiveness. Guillard came out and landed a few hard shots and went for a guillotine as Huerta shot in. Huerta defended well though and passed the guard of Guillard.
He moved into full mount and began working strikes. He then took Guillard?s back and continued to land heavy shots as he also looked for the choke. Guillard was finally able to power out and get back to his feet. This escape brought the crowd to their feet as they loudly applauded the efforts of both. Guillard landed some more strikes standing towards the end of the round, but Huerta?s ground dominance easily won him the round.
Round two was a different story as Guillard was able to sprawl well and defend the takedowns of Huerta. Guillard was able to get top position and work some good strikes after a failed takedown attempt by Huerta. Huerta gained a takedown towards the end of the round, but round two was clearly Guillard?s. It became evident that the third round would be the deciding factor. Both men were understandably tired so it was going to come down to who wanted it most. Huerta was able to briefly take Guillard down, but most of the round was spent standing. Huerta simply could not muster up enough energy to finish his shots and Guillard was sprawling nicely.
Guillard landed more shots, but neither really pushed the pace standing. Huerta tried some traditional karate type kicks, but never really threatened Guillard who often would counter with hard hooks. The round ended with both standing and it was left in the hands of the judges. One scored the fight for Huerta with the other two giving the nod to Guillard. Neither fighter deserved to lose, but Guillard perhaps landed the more effective shots, especially in the second half of the fight.
Afterwards, it was discovered that Guillard had broken his hand in the previous fight with Kaljevic, which perhaps explains his tentativeness to unleash flurries. Guillard?s victory gave him three impressive wins in one night and more importantly, a shot at the title. Huerta?s effort should not be overlooked though as he was very impressive, even in defeat.
Winner: Guillard Split Decision
