Marvin Hagler vs. Bernard Hopkins
This fight would be a classic, and I'd expect nothing less. Hagler and Hopkins could very well be the two greatest middleweights of all time, and both of them know how to take care of business. We all know Hopkins of recent, the master boxer who takes very few unnecessary chances, but few realize how much of a great infighter he was considered to be before he took out Felix Trinidad. As for Hagler, well, ironically, a lot of experts considered him to be an excellent outfighter before his fight with Roberto Duran, yet we all consider Hagler to be the typical infighter.
These are both guys who know their way around a ring, but in the end I think Hagler's power and strength would beat Hopkins, but then again, Hopkins being as smart as he is, he'd employ the Duran and Leonard blueprints for successfully boxing Hagler. Opinions, boxing fans....Luis Cruz, harlemhustla, and Afro Samurai, I'm looking at you guys.

Leonard never really beat Hagler. Hagler should of won that fight plain and simple so using that method would get him his ass kicked.
Hopkins is good but he is no Hagler. Hopkins has a hard hitting outside game. I don't think he would even come close to stopping Hagler form slipping his punches and rocking him.

Accually, I think BHop would take this. He was too smart of a fighter and has a hell of a chin. He works his angles to pefection and I don't think Hagler could catch him with a solid shot not to mention hagler is a little slow and mechanical.
What Hagler had going for him is he has a style simular to Winky except he has explosive power. He has a perfect text book style that which allows him to block most punches cause he keeps his hands high and puts on a lot of pressure.
With that said, BHop is not your average fighter. He slips punches, throws at angles, uses that philly shell defense which allows him to fight inside and counter to perfection, simular to James Toney, not to mention, he's not a weak puncher at all, and he's very intelligent.
BHop by decision. Don't think he can be KOed and is to good of a boxer to allow himself to be caught. If you remember, he took some crazy punches from Antoine Echols and survived and beat him twice. Any BHop fans should see this fight. If it wasn't for Bernard, Echols would have been champ. He's amazing.

Wright is might favorite fighter right now and I really don't think he has anything on Hagler. I guess I agree to disagree. I don't think Hopkins has much of an inside game and that is why he would lose. IMO

You honestly see Hagler out pointing BHop??
BTW I think Lenard beat him.

You and three Judges agree and I think thats it....Everybody in the boxing community knows Hagler won that Even Afro agrees with me on that one (and he is a Sugar Ray fan). Love taps shouldn't win a fight. Go watch it again.

Those three are the ones I usually find myself discussing boxing with at any given moment. Heh, I guess you hadn't had enough to drink, that was a pretty irritable-sounding statement.
