Now
In 2 years
As much as I hate Diego he's becoming a serious contendor, I'm picking GSP now, but in 2 years I dunno... With them being so young this could make for a great trilogy.

Diego is becoming a top fighter, but to be honest, i think Kos is gonna pull off a win.
Kos is gonna surprise some of us.
anyway, i hate both kos n diego.

GSP is only a year or so older than diego. People say that Sanchez is learning so much, yeah, well, so is GSP. GSP has him in conditioning. Sanchez is good in conditioning, but GSP is so much better in that category. Striking goes to GSP, wrestling goes to GSP, submissions are about equal as they don't rely on them often.
I can't wai to see diego get his ass kicked. But I think he will lose to kos this saturday anyway.

they are less then a year apart, i believe gsp is 6 months older.
But i agree with you about people saying diego is getting better, but they forget every time we see gsp he is a better gsp.
I pick gsp now and in 5 years.
I really dont think gsp has hit his peak yet, and thats going to be scary when he does. Diego, i really dont see him getting much better. |

Exactly. Plus they say most mma fighters are in their prime at around30 or so, well GSP is only 25. I really can't see diego beating gsp, even by a lucky punch because gsp can take a lot of punishment, like from the bj fight, that was his first time fighting a guy like bj. I know he fought hughes, but bj can hit a lot harder.

Diego has a good chance
Diego's sub game is better then GSPs, GSP may have the edge in wrestling but id say its slight, and he has a definent edge in striking but thats because we havent seen much of Diegos striking game or how it is improved.. the Riggs KO was too quick to tell but that counter-punch was beatiful either way! so I would say Diego's striking is good.
GSP still wins, and I would say both times by decision.

GSP's wrestling is much better than diego's. GSp took down Karo repeatedly when they fought, while sanchez's wrestling wasn't that impressive.
If they fought GSP would finish him by GnP.

Did you see the Kos fight on TUF?
Taking Karo down means what to your wrestling skills? Karo is a judo fighter.
Diego is a black belt in JJ, GSP is not.
What exactly has GSP achieved in wrestling besides training with the Canadian National team? He is a good wrestler what theres no grounds to say he is much better then Diego who was a HS Champ.
