both are actors first and foremost. neither has any real martial arts training that isnt for theatrics and show, despite them being very physically talented
however, Jet is much younger, and actually faster then Jackie was when he was young
plus, Jet was somewhat of a prodigy in wushu, he was like 8 when he started representing the national team in demos and shit
so Jet

I thought Jett Li won a gold medal in the olympics. For what? I have no idea.

neither have real practical martial arts training outside of just stuff for conditioning and attribute training, which they both had enough of thanks to wushu(jet) or Chinese theatre(jackie). and neither have recorded professional fights
and no, Jet does not have an Olympic gold medal. he has multiple awards and championships in Chinese and international wushu competitions though
and the sole reason he never won anything in the olmpics is that Wushu has not been accepted as an Olympic sport yes, but this should be changing in the next 4-8 years, since the 08 Olympics will feature wushu as a demo sport

I hate forms competition. Only good for the movies. I would really love to know if Tony Jaa has ever competed in real fight sports or wants to. He knows a variation of Muay Thai some type of ancient shit but I would love to see him do one of those flipping Jump kicks in the ring.

kata, forms, styles...yeah only works for movies...Li would win, I agree with everyone there
wushu as a demo sport should be good, it is cool to watch.
As for Jaa...it'd be cool, but I doubt we're ever gonna see Hanuman Visits Lanka or Knight Throwing an Ax in MMA...maybe K1
