Bas Rutten (prime)vs. Mirko CroCop

This I would think would be a great match up so good I really don't know who to pick. They both are so verse at stand up CroCops legs are just a bit stronger than Bas's but I think Bas has harder hands. An I think Bas has better ground work. So in the end I take Bas.

they both have great stand up but cro cop is still better in every aspect of the stand up game...bas has better ground skills but its doubtful bas could take cc to the ground...

in his prime no, his technical skills were great and he had an iron chin.. the guy could teach Cro-cop how to thai box thats how good he was at it, just ask those 14 people in the Netherlands that he KO'd on a professional Thai boxing circuit how good of a striker he is.. Bas was too tough, Cro-cop would outstrike him for 3 rounds but I dont think he would put him away.

well 14 koes in thai boxing is great but doesnt mean much in mma standards...i mean rizzo has a kickboxing record of 31-0 with like 20 something koes and he couldnt take kharitonov...i say cro cop tkos bas round 3

Have you seen Bas strike in MMA? he was phenominal period, I dont care about who he fought.. he is a certified thai boxing instructor, is Rizzo?

yeah man ive seen bas strike in mma...all im saying is that somany koes on his thai boxing record dont mean to much seeing as rizzo has over 20 and still got koed by kharitonov who is not on the same striking level as cro cop...

Rizzo got KO'd by a Top counter puncher in MMA and striker and he does not have a good chin at all

and Sergei is damn close to a Top 10 striker, Bas Ruttens chin is a lot more iron then Rizzos ever was thus why Rizzo was KOd and thus why Bas has never been knocked out in his kickboxing, or MMA career.. if anyone would do it, it would be Cro-cop but if you factor in defense and the timelimit these fighters have.. I say it goes to a decision, in fact Bas is more likely to knock out CC then CC is to knock out Rutten IMO mainly because Bas hits more then hard enough to test CC's chin which is decent, not weak or strong.

I just got back and was just about to say this I don't think CroCop would KO Rutten his Chin is God thats why I put the fight up. It is a real good matchup if CroCop is going to win it is going to be by decision or chopping Bas's legs down. I don't see him stopping Bas though Bas is really quick on the take down because he is fast at closing the distance.
