It's a shame Kid Yamamoto is taking a hiatus to pursue wrestling in the olympics. It's still a ways away though so I'm sure they will get him back to fight again. He took out Gomi's friend Genki Sudo so I"m sure Gomi would love the fight. I just started following Kid Yamamoto not long ago and he's just explosive.

i love both these guys, but i would bet on Gomi for 2 reasons.
1. weight. Gomi cuts from like 170+, almost 180, to make the 160 limit. since he joined Pride, he bulked up like a motherfucker
2. chin. whats Kid gonna do? knock him out? stop him with ground and pound? he would have to hurt Gomi first, and Gomi has the best chin in LW. i'll say that firmly.
Kid is fast, aggressive, and strong. Gomi has all that, but is bigger and hits harder. Kid doesnt have the submission game to beat Gomi, and thats Gomi's only proven weakness. his wrestling and GnP is good, and his standup is one of the best in LW because of his power and chin
