Bas hasnt fought anyone? whos fault is this? look at the time that Bas fought in, he fought in PANCRASE which is considered the first MMA organization, he fought and beat the best there was at the time. He is a certified thai boxing trainer, how many fighters in MMA are certified to train in thai boxing? he has a 14-1 kickboxing record, his standup is one of the best MMA has ever seen. His accomplishments in MMA do not warrant his skills as a fighter, after then Ken Shamrock fight he became much much better at submissions and became a well-rounded fighter.. after the Ken Shamrock fight he never lost by submission again, and won 11 fights by submission. People need to stop basing these opinions off of accomplishments, Bas accomplished all he could at the time he fought.. he was the king of Pancrase and beat the best Pancrase had to offer. Losing to Ken Shamrock early in your career is no sham, anyone who thinks that Ken didnt have a very good submission game is dillusional. Beating Frank Shamrock isnt easy at all either. Bas' kickboxing is great, his submission game is very good, and hes not a bad wrestler at all.. he has a ton of KO power, and EXCELLENT STANDUP.. his stance, defense, the whole 9 is perfect, hes fast and strong.. these are facts about him as a fighter that you cant see in his wins or loses column.

I like Bas. I didn't know he was a Muay Thai trainer but I don't doubt his skills. I guess I would of liked to see him against stiffer comp. I don't know how he would have done against Fedor but picking Fedor to win is not the biggest of stretches.

Im not saying it is, im saying this fight is pretty even.. I think both are the most well-rounded fighters that MMA has ever seen and it could go either way, it would most likely go Fedors way every time but I think in there primes it would be the closest, and I wouldnt be suprised if Bas beat him.. like I said earlier in 3 fights i'd predict it to go Bas, Draw, Fedor. I think its that close, Bas is an expert in boxing, Fedor is an expert in Sambo.. both have a submission game.. both have conditioning, and strength.. there pretty even. It woulda been a great fight to see.

I've sen alot of El Guapos fights and I was very very impressed senn alot of Fedors fight and was the same very impressed. I call it a draw eveytime unless there was a cut. These two are seriously evenly matched I don't care what anyone says. both have heavy hands great ground work and good defense. This could be one of the greatest dream matches of all time ending in either a vicious KO or brutal SUB. I shed a tear because we will never see this fight.

Bas couldn't avoid Fedor's takedowns for a whole fight.Fedor by first round (T)KO or submission.
