Wanderlei Silva vs. Lyoto Machida

contrary to what most people think. i think lyoto takes this fight by decision.

why exactly would wandy have a better chance then anyone else? yeah hes aggresive but hes not exactly speedy. lyoto can just avoid wandys strikes like he does everyone else, and then counter. the only thing is wandy is sometimes wild and i think that may even hurt him in this fight,
lyoto would capitalize on his aggression imo.

If Wand fights as he normally does (i.e. aggressive) then he won't allow Machida to get into his grove. But that's easier said than done but I've never seen an aggressive striker fight Machida.

I've been over this fight a few times in my head. These guys are both some of my absolute favorite fighters and I could see it either going to a close desicion or ending with wanderlei getting a TKO/KO.

I think that Wanderlei is probably good enough to not get caught if it hit the ground, and I think that he can take the counter strikes from Lyoto on the feet. I also think that Wanderlei will not give Lyoto the chance to get his rhythm going, and keep the pressure on from the first minute.

To me it comes down to if Wandy can capitalize on the moments when he'll get to him, and I think he can.

oh and i meant speedy as in, fast on his feet with fast hands, in other words, a fast attacker. because to hit machida you need both of those attributes.

wandy throws ko punches, and they are not fast sorry to say . and ive never seen anything special or quick about his footwork. not sure how you think wandys speed is a main attribute of his. his main attributes are obviously his power and his aggression. he uses his aggression to overwhelm his opponents with his power. and if u think speed is his main attribute i respectfully disagree

P.S. I don't need to explain just go watch some more of his fights because you obviously haven't... His hands are not fast??? He has some of the quickest hooks in MMA. Who have you been watching?
