Vera has looked really timid lately. For a guy with a striking advantage in his last fight, and usually, he should be getting off first, not looking to counter. Don't know if its the more powerful guys at HW, but he definately needs to move to LHW and take his chances there. Although LHW has more KO guys, they don't have as many BJJ or Wrestling guys that will put Vera in a counter attack gameplan. The other thing I noticed rewatching the Sylvia and Werdum fights, he telegraphs. His kicks, his punches, all were telegraphed. He needs to find a coach that'll break that habit.

vera would have to drop the 20+ lbs....but i take lyoto...the guy is just too damn ellusive. he made tito look slow and vera just hasn't been the same vera we saw growing up.

I agree with this but would also add Chuck just because of his power. We need to see Lyoto face a really dangerous striker. Chuck or Wand would be perfect tests. Maybe after Rampage though.
