Thats were said Sanchez can take Hughes back like Penn did. Anyway, Hughes wins via Decision but taking Sanchez down and GnPing him. I do not think at this time in Hughes' career he can stop Sanchez, but he is more then good enough to aviod subs and do some damage.

How does that imply that Sanchez is as good as Penn or has to be as good as Penn to take Hughes' back? Here is the staple of my argument so try and follow allong if you can: Penn is a better grappler then Hughes... Sanchez is a better grappler then Hughes... Penn is a better grappler then Sanchez, but it has nothing to do with my argument besides they are both better then Hughes... does this make sense to you? I can draw a picture with crayon if helps.

i doubt this fight will happen, but if it does, i think sanchez takes it. i said it a year or two ago and i'll say it now. sanchez is faster, more explosive, better subs and more heart than hughes. only thing hughes has is wrestling and strength, which diego's explosiveness and subs, i think nullifies.

great back and forth guys. no way hughes gnp's diego. fitch has twice the cardio that hughes currently has and he couldn't finish diego. diego will defend the takedowns cuz he's younger/quicker.

didn't diego have staph going into the kos fight...i know it wasn't hep like they reported. they said the next day after the fight diego had a baseball size hole in his leg......that wasn't from kos' kicks. that's probably the reason he didn't try any takedowns against the wrestling champ which in turn made the fight an absolute borefest.

I just have two things to add.

When the hell did Matt Hughes' cardio come into question? He didn't gas in either loss to GSP, he got mauled once and KO'ed in the other. He didn't gas against Penn or Lytle either.

Other point, Trigg took Hughes' back and he's not nearly the caliber of Diego on the ground. So, I don't think you have to be as good as Penn to get his back. You damn well better be strong enough to finish, though.

diego by the power of jesus. Oh by the way so you know God and Hughes had a falling out.It had something to do with Hughes making christians look like huge douchebags on national tv twice and Hughes having a god complex. From what I hear it got pretty nasty.
