Koscheck looked to be every bit as big as GSP to me. I know that Fitch is taller than Kos and may look a little bigger come fight time, but I see the speed and edge still going to GSP. Also, I get the sense that GSP is much stronger than he looks.

I highly doubt Koscheck is as big as GSP, GSP is about the same size as Fitch and I bet there both bigger then Koscheck is. Koscheck pretty much belongs at 170.. he wrestled at 174, he doesnt look like he can make 155 or make 185 in shape.. where-as Fitch fought at 185.. and GSP cuts from higher weights then 185.

They fought. Kos and GSP looked pretty close in size to me. Just because Kos wrestled at 174 in college doesn't mean that was his walking around weight. To be a NCAA champion and top 4 finisher all 4 years of your college career, you also cut down a lot of weight too and don't compete at your natural weight. Where do you think all of these guys learned it?

I think Fitch will be the same size or a little bigger than GSP (he is also an inch or 2 taller)

Kos does cut close to 190.

However, with that being said, I disagree with you KC on saying that Kos and GSP had a similar frame though. He definitely looked like he had a smaller frame than GSP in that fight.

Basically, two people can cut from the same weight but if their natural frame is different... obviously one will look bigger than the other. There are many variables that make a person's frame, physical stature and total weight. They all need to be considered... not just how much they cut.

A good example is cheik kongo... he weighed in basically 10 lbs heavier than CC in their fight and that guy is a behemoth!
