Wasnt JZ's best performance though, all those standups were his fault.
Still JZ domiantes a rematch, but I only have him at 3 right now.. I think BJ and Gomi would both beat him.

Yeah, I agree for the most part. It definitely wasn't his best performance, but it was his 3rd fight against an experienced future top ten fighter (with like 10 days notice or something). Considering the circumstances, he did great. I am trying to understand how the judges gave him the decision. It could have been a complete screw job, for sure.
I think B.J. could beat JZ, I am not saying he would.
As for Gomi, other than maybe power, I don't think he is better than Gesias at anything. And anything he is better at, the advantage is very slight.
I mean, I'll take Gesias's steamroll over Riberio over any win that Gomi has, to be honest. Technically, if we agree that JZ should have won against Hellboy, JZ has remains undefeated.
I see him with the advantage over Gomi. Penn, I am not so sure about.
When JZ and Aoki rematch happens, I think depending on how JZ does in that match will depend on where JZ belongs in the top 3.

Well I hate to do MMAmath but.. Gomi pretty much did the same thing to Kawajiri who IMO is better then Riberio, and has the wins over Shaolin to verify that.
IMO, Gomi has a distinctive edge standing vs JZ and style-wise.. Gomi is a good wrestler, with good TDD so I think he can beat JZ standing, but I can see JZ winning just hard to see anyone lay on Gomi for 3-5 rounds and win IMO.

No, MMA Math away, I almost did it. The top of the LW division is difficult because it is a vicious circle with who beat who. I.e. you could make the case: JZ over Riberio over Hellboy over Gomi (or JZ over Hellboy over Gomi if that is how you feel).
In all fairness, Kawajiri & Riberio are 1-1 (though, Kawajiri took the last one, and stopped him no less).
Gomi vs. JZ would definitely be a close fight (much closer than Hellboy vs. JZ). While Gomi does have the advantage standing and does have good TDD, JZ gets people with good TDD down anyway.
In the end, I think it comes down to who has a better game plan.

I think that JZ takes this one..... but JZ would lose to Penn, Gomi, or Mach IMO. Fights with Gomi and Mach would be close but I can't see him taking them

i think Gomi could beat JZ.
sprawl and brawl, he can wrestle better than JZ, and slings more power. JZ has some good standup, but Gomi has shown time and time again that the combination of the best chin and best power at 155 equals big KO wins.
