you focus way to much on previous stats and accomplishments and u never look at the big picture. tony desouza does not have good takedowns im mma. i dont watch wrestling, i dont watch bjj tournies, i watch fucking mma and thats what i rate him on.

if his wrestling and bjj is so good why isnt he dominating in the ufc? why is he only 1-2 since coming back? why couldnt he take down alves? im not saying hes a horrible fighter but u guys are trying to make him out to be so much better then he is.

thiago has improved ALOT since he fought fitch the 1st time...

Karo was in perfect position several time to do a whizzer and he couldn't do shit to Thiago, so that tells me that he has improved his grappling alot...

And when thiago fought spencer fisher (like 3 years ago) he was pretty much dominating the fight until he got caught in the triangle...

Thiago's grappling is much, much better now than it used to be...

imo if they fought right now thiago wins by ko.

and yeah desouza is an excellent grappler but it seems that it doesn't really translate that well into mma for him...

see i can respect people who say this even tho i dont agree with it. im not gonna sit here and write and essay and bash ur opinion like some people. i just think when alves fights someone with good takedowns and bjj its gonna be a wakeup call to everyone who thinks hes so improved.. also stopping a whizzer doesnt really show hes improved his grappling. wait till hes on his back before u jump to conclusions.

You keep calling him a fat blob... that has nothing to do with how good you think he is.

He took 2nd at nationals for freestyle wrestling... I doubt he was able to get that far with shitty or average takedowns. He may not be a great MMA fighter, but he is a good wrestler.
