Go to the "MMA 'Dream' Matches" section and let me know how many of the headings contain a question mark, and get back to me, would ya?

Well Nog does have the better standup as he is a better boxer and a better ground game as he's the better BJJ practitioner, however Mir has an unorthodox BJJ game and has good kicks even though he doesn't use it as much.
If this goes to the ground, I see it being quite neutral so it's probably going to be decided on the feet. I personally see Nog getting the better of Mir in the standup, so I give Nog the victory.

wow...apparently frank mir possesses some godly skill that i am unaware of.
nog is better anywhere the fight goes...also has more heart, cardio, experience, has a better camp...
...hmmm i'm thinking that just a few people are slightly bias lol

I think it's a rather timely poll because I think this fight will happen in this calender year (not that he should get a shot but I think he will anyway). I pick Nog because of the reasons mentioned above. Better stand-up and better ground game but anything can happen and Mir is excellent on the ground as well.

I'm not counting Mir out, but I think that Big Nog is better in every aspect of MMA. Anything can happen though

Been lurking for awhile, not sure why I chose this to be my first post.
I'm going to pick Mir. I know most believe that Nogueira's BJJ is better. I'm not disputing that, but Frank Mir has a very unorthodox guard, and that allows him to quickly transition to a submission. On the ground, I think they nullify each other, but Mir gets the nod in being able to pull the submission faster.
And saying Mir doesn't have heart? That's crazy. Look at what he's had to endure. He wasn't even suppose to walk, and now he's fighting his way back to the top.
Nog has better stand up, but I wouldn't say it's spectacular. Mir can throw some kicks, even though they aren't used as often as they should be.
Mir has had bad cardio in the past, but I don't think that's as much of an issue any more. He's changed his training partners, working with a different team, and has rededicated himself. I also think the mental aspect is being over looked. Nog has experience, no doubt, but Mir is a highly cerebral fighter.
