Hard to say. We don't know how strong of a chin Anderson has. He's never been KO'd and I've never seen him rocked. He does take a lot of hits. Everytime he goes in for the clinch he sacrifices his chin for the clinch. Rich hit him several times and did Hendo but Silva keeps moving forward. We know Rampage can get rocked and he's been KO'd. Rampage is a striker but Silva is a better striker and I think Quinton would have to use his wrestling to take Anderson down and to keep him down. Silva is taller and I think has the reach advantage. I'd probably have to go with Silva on this but just by a hair.

Rampage is awesome at defending the clinch, just ask Shogun or Wanderlei.

Anderson is the better striker, faster, great chin, sick MT and very good bjj.
Rampage is strong and had the wrestling advantage an hits hard.
If Anderson gets Rampage in that Clinch he is fucked.
I pick Anderson by tko unless Rampage uses wrestling an gnp. If he tries to stand i think he ends up getting hurt an clinched.

Rampage has been training with Chris Riley. Not the same Rampage that lost to Shogun and Wandy. Anderson isn't going to get an easy TKO/KO.

I don't think its any kind of easy fight for either fighter.

The thing with Quinton Jackson is logically you would expect Anderson Silva to be the better striker
but so was Cyrill Abidi, and Quinton knocked him out and then beat him in a decision..
Quinton is a lot bigger then Anderson is, I think he'll be able to use his wrestling to win the fight. I wouldnt count on Quinton trying to stand with A Silva but.. he can probably hold his own.
I think Size and Wrestling wins this for Quinton, if it were at 185 the edge would be smaller but at 205.. its Quintons fight.

Dead on. Both would have to fight their best fight of their career. We know Rampage can take a shot, but what kind of chin does Anderson have? It'd be a classic, no doubt.

watch jorge rivera vs. anderson silva. At one point in the fight Silva has River in the clinch and he basically lets Rivera punch him 5 or 6 times, to the chin and temple Silva wasn't even phased. Rivera himself said after the fight he hit Silva with everything he had and was of no use. Silva has a good chin. But more importantly Silva has phenomenal movement when Silva was getting hit by rich he was never really in any danger and he typically moves to avoid big shots.

This fight would be awesome. It's most appealling because so far everyone that was thought to be able to beat Anderson was supposed to do it on the ground - Rampage will challenge him on the feet. Rampage has solid standup and solid striking defense. Of course his clinch defense is questionable but training with ibarra i'm sure Rampage is improving on it.
