he might be able to take him down but Silva should be strong enough to get out of it and BJ will not submit Silva

It's possible but he won't. it don't matter tho cause Silva would knock him out standing up. and silva would be bigger than penn

Anderson beats him soundly. probably by decision because of BJ's ridiculous chin, but he might even get a TKO, because BJ has never really fought someone bigger that really knew how to stand up and hurt people.
Machida plays tag, he doesnt have a lot of KO power and his style does not involve coming after someone and landing a lot of shots at once and finishing the fight.
BJ does not have a strong offensive takedown, and Anderson stopped Dan Henderson's takedowns in the 2nd round.
if they were the same size i could easily see BJ taking it if he could ever get to the mat, but in a real fight, Silva pwns.

Are you crazy? BJ Penn has 4x the submission game that Anderson has and Anderson has been submitted by guys who BJ would school on the ground.
BJ ab-so-lute-ly could submit Anderson.
This would be a great fight and whoever dictates where the fight goes, wins the fight.

Dont see why Penn would have trouble getting A Silva to the ground at 170, Penn wins at anything 170 and below.. at 185, A Silva would win due to size.
Penn has a better ground game then A Silva does, and is just too smart of a fighter for Silva to really be effective on his feet.. because Penn would turn it into a ground fight, and win.

Anderson Silva fought Okami @ 175 and was able to defend his takedowns for a little while. And there is no question who is the better and stronger wrestler between Okami and Penn.
Guys, Penn is only 5'9 and his reach is like 69 inches. Silva is about 6'2 and his reach is 77, thats a 5 inch hieght advantage and 8 inch reach advantage. Penn's face would line up perfectly with Silva's knees. Anderson Silva has also made a habit out of KOing and TKOing guys that have great chins and haven't been KOed or TKOed before (Leben, Marquant, Frynlund and probably more). Yea Penn is over all better then most of those guys, but is his chin that much better... probably not. I mean Leben has one of the best chins in the world, just ask Cote, Sakara, Martin, Rivera, and more. And Silva turned his Granite Chin to dust in 49 seconds. You don't think he couldnt break Penn's chin either?
Silva KO in the first. Penn goes to clinch for the takedown and suffers the same fight as Franklin and Hendo, eats a few knees and drops.
