Wanderlei vs. Sokoudjou
You know, if there's one great thing to take away from UFC79, it's that Wanderlai's still signed to the UFC, he's only 31, and match up's like this are a possibility.
Who do you guys have?
Wanderlai, split decision. I think it'd be close.

I don't know how this would play out, but there is no way this would make it to a decision.

Isn't that what we kept hearing about the fight with Chuck? Yup.

Yeah but Chuck / Wandy are two war tested, smart veterans. I don't think Sokoudjou knows how to pace himself yet. If he fought Wand and didn't finish him I could see him gassing and getting highlight reeled.

i always felt that ppl judged soko too fast from his 2 quick ko's. I understand that they were over top 10's but he's relatively inexperienced and hasnt showed every facet of his game. His weakness was definitely shown on saturday which brought a huuuuge smile to my face... also because machida finally finished off someone in the ufc
i think wanderlei can take a shot and knows what soko is capable of. I see wand picking him apart and soko gassing or getting caught in the clinch with some knees

Possibly. As long as Wandy fights Soko smart I think he Ko's him. lyoto had soko totally figured out and soko looked silly so i think Wandy would feel him out and then pick him apart.

Wandy's chin is shit right now and you can't have Wand's style of fighting with a fucked up chin. Wand isn't going to take Soko to the ground and IMO wouldn't last that long banging with that African freak of nature. I think Soko is faster and has better standup, hell, he's a Muay Thai trainer.
Many people think Soko's 2 KOs were flukes but IMO you just don't KO 2 top 10 fighters by flukes. Soko's standup is serious and he would still beat many top 10 fighters if they sit there and bang with him. The dude has freakish power. Lil Nog and Arona have been hit before but never with that type of power, that's the difference.
IMO, there is no way in hell Wand survives Soko's onslaught.
Edit: IMO Lyoto is just better than the whole lot, not to mention it looked like he had about a 3 to 4 inch height advantage on Soko.

Wanderlei by submission round 2. He should be smart enough to take the fight to the ground after noticing that Soko would be at a huge disadvantage if the fight goes to the ground.
