Worst matchup for both fighters unless one of them decides to be the aggressor. Otherwise, this could end up being a 15 minute waltz full of constant circling, feints, and air punches.

Machida would get the better on the feet, Im starting to think that no one in the LHW division will be able to handle his style of standup. But if Chuck stops being so goddamn stubborn and just takes the fight to the ground he could win a decision.

Lyoto via decision, chuck has never been one to admit he doesn't have the standup advantage

i agree it would be a snore fest with both guys having counter punching kind of styles. Lyoto is one of the best LHW's in the world and i love the guy but i don;t think he will knock Chuck out, and i think Chuck will stuff his takedown attempts if Machida wanted to test Chucks ground game. Bad matchup for Machida IMO and I could see a UD victory for Chuck or maybe him tagging Lyoto with a right.

Its tough since they both have really really unorthodox striking....but im going with the fighter with the better defense and that is Machida. I am a huge fan of the defensive game and Lyoto embodies it greatly his left counter punches are my favorite and his trips are one of a kind.

Lyoto takes this by tko in the 3rd.

People say Lyotos chin hasn't been test but come on. Nak hits damn hard an hit Lyoto flush an he walked threw it and Soko hit Lyoto flush too an walked threw it.

Chuck would try to come forward and push the pace an just get beat up by Lyoto and by the 3rd Chuck will be a little tired an Lyoto will catch Chuck put him on his ass an finish it.

Machida no doubt. his standup can repel chuck and take him down. also machida is the better fighter and smarter. his standup is good and so is his grappling. his chin is no weak spot either
