GSP vs Penn 2 and a poll
First the poll question. Who would you have given the first fight to if you were a judge? Then for the thread, who do you think would win in a rematch?

I voted for Penn winning the first fight, and I think it's one of the hardest fights ever to score. I can't criticize somebody for saying GSP won.
In a rematch I would take Penn. I think he's becoming more serious about the sport, and he's past his Prodigy's don't have to work phase. Everything has always came so natural that he seemed to take things for granted, but now that he's getting older & realizing that he hasn't lived up to his enormous potential he's putting in the work necessary. I see a long reign for Baby Jay the next few years @ LW & WW if he's aloud... maybe even MW lol.

Penn had the first
GSP had the second
Penn had the third. All GSP did was take Penn down twice.
Penn took GSP down once. Won every standup exchange, and attempted an Omoplata. Penn pushed the pace and controlled the fight. ALl GSP could do was hang on and hope not to get subbed. One of the worst decisions I have ever seen.

GSP would win again. First fight i gave to Penn, but now i'd give to GSP. hopefully we get to see this rematch in the future.

agreed 100%
I would take GSP in a second fight just because of the face that he would know exactly how to fight him since he's fought him once.
Especially in a 5 round fight GSP would wear BJ down imo
but of coarse it could go either way and would be a damn good fight again imo.

Penn would finish GSP in a rematch.
Penn would realize he can't go to a dec with GSP or he will get screwed, which will make him train that much harder.
IMO we would see the best Penn ever in a rematch, know he got robbed in the first fight would push him to finish. Penn is better in ever aspect of mma besides wrestling. But if GSP can't take him down, it is not going to matter.
Rematch Penn wins 3rd round doctor stoppage.

with the UFC's crappy judging it could really go either way. Somehow the Judges think that being on top = winning so GSP could pull of a decision, and to whoever said that the standup was equal in that fight is crazy, becuase GSP didn't land one good shot and Penn slipped and countered everything GSP threw at him.

I think that is exactly what would happen I think BJ would train so hard GSP might look a little silly in this one.

Actually i thought besides those four takedowns GSP looked a little silly in the first fight. The ufc judging is so fucked up, how can someone get his ass kicked and still win a decision with a couple of takedowns when he canīt even do anything on the ground.
