i voted BJ. looking back now, he should have won that in the first place. in Pride it would have been BJ's fight for sure. he almost made GSP quit before he came out for the second round, cuz he beat him so badly. Penn is a bad match up for anybody, even GSP. i think he'd have trouble taking GSP down in the rematch, but he wouldn't need to. Penn would win!

The first fight was very even, but GSP takes a rematch. Both are great fighters but I believe GSP has improved and learned more since the first fight where Penn to me is the same fighter, great fighter, but considering the first fight was so close and how much more improved GSP is he takes it.
Say what you want about the Serra fight but I believe that is where GSP learned alot and he needed to be humbled.

Rofl GSP gets out of jail and goes straight to fighting GSP and in the eyes of many won the fight. With a month of training Penn takes this.

IMO we would see the best Penn ever in a rematch, know he got robbed in the first fight would push him to finish. Penn is better in ever aspect of mma besides wrestling. But if GSP can't take him down, it is not going to matter.
Rematch Penn wins 3rd round doctor stoppage.

I voted BJ. I think even if GSP took BJ down, he would eventually get swept and/or caught in a sub.

BJ. Better in every aspect except wrestling which doesn't matter cause taking bj to the ground is something that only and idiot would do. The reason GSP got the decision in the first fight was because of slams(which get too much credit in scoring I believe) which he did absolutley nothing with when he got him to the ground.

GSP won because BJ gassed and couldn't break out of the clinch. BJ should win a rematch if he can get in shape so he can avoid being tied up.
