Thumbs up

That may be a good fight, I have to admit that Josh may be a bit too physical for Randy to overcome, but I still have to go with Randy winning the fight.

I have to base this on Pride's performance in UFC at the heavyweight division... look at CroCop or Crazy Horse. I thought CroCop would come in and dominate until Fedor arrived.

Gotta go with Randy!

Yeah. I agree...Matt Lindland is really good at controlling his opponent too (should have beat rampage imo).

and yeah i agree with you on the other thing too. hell just look at michael bisping when he fought rashad, all he needed was a really good sprawl and rashad had alot of trouble taking him down.

greco wrestlers can drive you to the fence and hold you there, be patient, and then get you to the ground.

Jesus christ! That's the most original argument I have ever heard... I mean who cares about things like logic and matchups? Barnett is from Pride and a HW therefore he will lose! God damn someone rep this guy fast!

Thanks for taking the time to explain the logic and matchups for dream matches. Logic and matchups always seems to work for fighting. I mean on paper Serra beats GSP 9 times out of 10 or... Gonzaga beats CroCop 10 out of 10 times... next time I will check common opponents before commenting on a hypothetical situation.

Do you actually want to make some sense when you post? Who said anything about common opponents? And you can't get anymore common then fighters that actually fought eachother.

barnett vs nog 1 and 2 were mostly spent on the ground...and when they did stand barnett tried using dirty boxing, same as couture would and if you gong to tell me barnett is a better dirty boxer then couture then we'l stop now...

imo barentt jsut isnt that much better then couture in the pure striking department...and on the couture timmay subject....i was impresed with randy being able to slip tims punches...i dont know y u said it doesnt count cuz it was gameplanning...isnt that wat fighting is about???knowing your opponent so you are able to beat him in watever type of area you want??

couture was able to hurt tim alot who is a 6'8 striker with ko power...i didnt see vera slippin tims punches like randy...i do agree randy doesnt throw punches in combos and can leave himself open at times but barnett is no better...

I said it doesnt matter cuz its Tim Sylvia, you can easily gameplan and slip Tim Sylvia's punches.. he isnt a versitile puncher thats gonna beat you with any finese skills... hes a head hunter.

Why does Vera matter? hes a MT prac, not a boxer.. why would he be as good at slipping punches then Randy whos style is primarily boxing? yet again.. I can show you a Josh Barnett with better striking D and better punches then Randy Couture.. can you show me a Randy Couture who throws good punches? Hes def a smarter fighter then Barnett on the feet, but that doesnt mean hes better.

i got randy for this, i think he could come up with a game plan to beat him, i would say una decision or tko randy,

at this current time i think randy could beat any heavyweight in the world, i would love 2 see him smack big nog about the octagon, not because i dont like big nog i am a fan of his but i think is just to good
