Okay, now that Georges has overcome his 'mental issues' has anyone's opinion changed about how a GSP/Silva match would go?
I was thinking Spider all the way by KO, but now I think GSP has a chance. IF he manages to get Silva down (a very real possibility, since Silva's takedown D isn't his strongest point), doesn't anyone else think he could maybe get a win via ground n' pound? Silva wouldn't be the strongest guy GSP has faced, so if he could hold him down and fire away it could be a long night for Spider.
Now that's all assuming he can get past Silva's hands, feet, knees, elbows, shins, and clinch that is

GSP has the same chance he had before last night: slim to none... taking Silva to his back isn't going to be like taking Serra to his back. Silva is much larger and stronger then Serra. GSP had a really difficult time passing Serra's gaurd; I don't see how he will pass Silva's.
And standing... Silva will knock him out. No doubt in my mind about that.

Okay, assuming he can't pass guard, but can still land brutal knees to the ribs like last night, still no chance?
For sure, GSP can't hang with Spider in the standup

GSP had a really difficult time passing Serra's guard? What? Maybe for the first three minutes of the first round. After that, GSP was passing his guard without too much difficulty. It wasn't the easiest thing in the world for him...but really difficult? No way.
I give GSP a pretty good chance to beat Silva. I think if it gets into the clinch, GSP will take Silva to the ground, start to work his magic. Silva is going to be larger and stronger than Serra yes, but GSP has fought people that are stronger than him before. And GSP is no slouch standing, he's good at finding his opponent's range. Not sayin he will beat Silva, but I think he has a chance.

Of course I will give him a chance if Silva would rather cover up against the cage with his knees down rather then just stand up and strike.
GSP has the chance to put Silva on his back and ground him out for 5 rounds, but I think it is more likely that Silva either knocks him out or subs him after he is hurt.

Yeah... really. Did you not actually watch the fight or something? In over 6+ minutes on the ground GSP passed Serra's guard three times. Once after 4 mintues of trying to pass, once in the last 10 seconds of round 1 when Serra basically gave it to him because he knew it was the end of the round, and once in the third after trying to pass for over a minute. Doesn't sound like it was any easy thing for him to accomplish since that's all he tried to do the entire fight.
And only a fews seconds after every pass to side controll he couldn't maintain his position before Serra could turtle up.
You would think with a name like MirJistu you would actually know a difficult gaurd to pass when you see one...
